Paneer(Indian cottage cheese) is an ingredient that almost everyone likes and a lot of recipes can be made from Paneer. Today we will make Masala Paneer.



 Masala Paneer is a vegetable made in spicy gravy that is liked by everyone. Masala paneer is a little spicy dish but it's taste with roti, naan, paratha or puri is mouth watering seriously . Masala paneer is very much liked recipe in most restaurants that we will try in today and interesting thing about it, it is very easy to cook.

 The spices put in masala paneer are very common, which is mostly available at everyone's house, so you can easily make it. To make masala paneer, we need some spices in powder form  and some spices must be ground. For spices, you can use ready-made spices from the market, but the homemade spices tastes very good and the aroma of home made spices makes your dish perfect so i will use my home made spices right here. We can store home made spices that we add to masala paneer. To make the masala, roast all the ingredients used in garam masala and dry roast it a little and use it.To make masala paneer, firstly put ghee in a pan or kadahi and fry the paneer a little bit.
Now put a little more ghee in the same pan and add the whole spices. First of all, add cumin seeds, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaves and stir it a little bit.
Now add onion and garlic paste and fry it till it becomes golden.
Then put tomatoes, cashew paste and all the spices(salt  according to taste, turmeric powder coriander powder, red chili powder and Kashmiri red chili powder)and stirring it occasionally. Now add one teaspoon garam masala and some fenugreek leaves. Keep stirring all spices till it start releasing the oil.Add some water and prepare thick gravy. Now cover the pan with a lid and cook the gravy for 10 minutes. now we'll put fried paneer in it and cook again for 2 to 3 minutes.

 Let's start making masala paneer.

INGREDIENTS

Paneer  - 200gm
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbs
Kashmiri chili powder - 1/2 tbs
Coriander powder - 1/2 tbs
Dry fenugreek leaves(kasuri meethi) - 1 tbs
One handful cashew nuts
Salt according to taste
Ghee - 3 to 4 tbs
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tbs
Onines - 2 nos(small)
Tomatoes 2 nos(small)
Garam masala powder - 1 tbs

whole speices for tempering(skip if you don't have)
Bay leaf - 1 nos
Green cardamom - 2 nos
Cinnamon - 1 inch piece
Cloves - 2 to 3 nos

PREPARATION


1-To make Masala Paneer, first of all we will soak a handful of cashew nuts in water so that the cashews become soft and easy to grind.

2-If you have not soaked cashew nuts before 2 hours , then grind cashew nuts first and then add water and make a paste.

3-Dry roast the fenugreek leaves(kasuri methi).

4- Peel the onion, ginger and garlic and make a paste.

5- Boil the tomato and remove the skin and prepare a paste of tomato and cashew together.

6-Cut the paneer into square pieces.

Method


1-To make masala paneer, firstly put ghee in a pan or kadahi and fry the paneer a little bit.



2-If you want, you can also use paneer without roasting it.

3-Now put a little more ghee in the same pan and add the whole spices. First of all, add cumin seeds, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaves and stir it a little bit.



4-Now add onion and garlic paste and fry it till it becomes golden.



5-Then put tomatoes, cashew paste.

8-Our gravy is ready, now we'll put fried paneer in it and cook again for 2 to 3 minutes. Garnish the masala paneer with fenugreek leaves and serve hot with paratha or naan.
